Eleanor McEvoy

Saturday 23 September 2017 7:30 pm

One of Ireland’s most accomplished contemporary singer/songwriters, McEvoy took up the violin at the age of eight, graduated in music from Trinity College Dublin and spent four months busking in New York before she joined RTE’s National Symphony Orchestra. She left after four years to concentrate on writing her own songs. One of these was Only A Woman’s Heart, the title track of A Woman’s Heart, the best-selling Irish album in Irish history. Over the last 25 years McEvoy has recorded 12 studio albums, toured extensively and won numerous Best Performer and Best Songwriter awards. At St James’ she will be presenting songs from her acclaimed 2017 album Naked Music.
