Pocket Sinfonia

Sunday 19 November 2017 6:00 pm

Pocket Sinfonia are a gifted quartet (flute, violin, cello and piano) who bring to orchestral masterpieces the spontaneity and intimacy of a chamber group. They have performed at the Wigmore Hall, St Martin in the Fields, Kings Place, Milton Court and the Sage Gateshead, and have broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Radio Scotland. Their Proms programme will include the overture to Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro arranged by Hummel, Grieg’s Holberg Suite arr. Corr/Duncumb and Pocket Sinfonia’s new arrangements of some well-loved Russian ballet music. [Note: this concert was originally scheduled for 12 November.]
